1) Is OOC chatter allowed in the IC area? In ()? In []?
— Unless it is absolutely necessary, then minimal brackets and parenthesis are permitted. It could also be kept in whispers as not to disrupt major roleplay.
2) Are you allowed to ban/repeatedly eject someone from the dream?
— No, unless they are repeatedly breaking the dream rules/twinking/breaking Furcadia’s rules, then I get permission from the dream owner [if online] or a higher-powered staffer/person [Like Mengsel]
3) How often are you on Furcadia? For how long have you had the game?
— I am on for at least 2 ½ hours, often times I am on for up to 7 hours [on the weekends]
— I’ve had the game for 2 years and have dropped into Dapplewood a few times, though not on this alt.
4) When are you most active?
— I am most active on weekends and when school’s out for breaks.
5) How often do you visit Dapplewood?
— As often as it is up, as I said, I visited the dream on numerous occurrences on a different alt.
6) Provide an example of how you would deal with a dream problem or help request. By this, we mean typing out a response to a scenario listed below and two responses to conflicts/help requests (listed below). You should have realistic foresight to what the problematic or confused visitor would actually say to the persons involved, and what you would say.
Scenarios: Choose one
- Violation of dream rules with disregard to the polite corrections of the staff.
— Billy Joe and Joe Bob are in the OOC area, and I leave to go for an oboe lesson that takes a little longer then expected. When I return, I see Billy Joe post, “Billy Joe snarls ferociously at Joe Bob and slices his head off with his razor-sharp sword!” Then, Joe Bob posts, “Joe Bob rolls out of the way, smacking into Ileana. “Hey, b****! Stay outta my way, I’m trying to kill this dude!” He yells as he leaps to bite Billy Joe.” I’d step in and ask them to please take their fight to the IC and point out that no auto-killing is allowed. Of course, I don’t believe they’d have as good of grammar as I am putting in here… Then, Billy Joe erupts into a fit of cursing, directly calling me a b**** [and other stuff]. I’d tell both of them to either shape up, ignore each other, or leave. I’d also offer to give them help with roleplaying. If they refused this, I’d go straight to my firm side and say that if they break the rules any further, I’d have to eject them and report them to the dream owner.
Help requests/conflicts: Choose two.
-Roleplaying conflicts
— I’m casually resting in the OOC when Lilly runs into the OOC, saying, “Help us! Help us! Mengsel’s gone mad!” Seeing as, according to my proxy client, Mengsel is offline, I go into the IC to see what is going on. I arrive to see someone with the name “Mengsel, Dark Avatar of Autumn”. I notice that Autumn is probably misspelled, and that said “Mengsel” has a rather sloppy description. Said character appears to be attacking another person who has an affinity for Spring. I’d ask what was going on, and the imposter Mengsel would say he was just trying to restore balance to the world. I’d tell him that A), the Fall has already occurred and B), if he were really Mengsel, his description wouldn’t be so vague and not thought-out, not to mention he wouldn’t be able to attack someone with an affinity for Springmoon without the bangles stopping him. He instantly erupts into a fit of cursing and auto-hitting the other roleplayers here, who might be there to enjoy a good, old-fashioned friendly roleplay among multi-tailed foxes. If all else failed, trying to calm the imposter down, I would resort to ejecting and report him to the dream owner and provide a log.
- FAQ
— Someone arrives in the dream to find everyone having a casual chat in the OOC. Said person waits patiently for someone to notice him/her. Finally, they ask one of his/her questions. I turn to face him/her, and look over the question. Recognizing it as one of the FAQs, I type out the answer in my own words and post my answer to him/her. If they have any more, I might refer them to the forum so they can read the answers straight from Springmoon.
[Well... if this'll even be looked at, it's still worth a shot!]
